Youth Academy FAQ
How can I get my player in Advanced Youth Academy sessions?
How can I get my player in an Advanced Summer Camp?
When does registration open for Youth Academy?
Our academy style program runs on 7 week sessions. Current sessions include: Fall, Winter I, Winter II, Spring I, Spring II. For exact session start dates, please see our online calendar.
My player is pretty advanced for his/her age, can they play in the higher age group?
No, all players are required to attend the appropriate classes based on age. In some rare instances and at the discretion of RCF’s Director of Coaching, some players may move up if necessary for future development.
We have a conflict with another activity, can we attend part of a session and be prorated?
No, we are unable to prorate for partially attended sessions.
I’m interested in doing Select Team and Advanced classes. If I make the Select Team, can I drop my Advanced Class status?
Yes. If you make a Team, you can drop your Advanced Class or participate in both. Space is limited in our Advanced Classes. Therefore we encourage interested players to sign up for both, then decide if they want to drop if they make the Select Team.
My son/daughter is a great player but has never played at RCF before. We want to guarantee his/her spot for the fall for the advanced class. How do we do that?
If you didn’t receive an invitation to the advanced classes at this time, we encourage you to register to an “all levels class” or fill out an advanced player application. Advanced class players must be seen before by our coaching staff. Joining one of our Summer Camps is also a great way to be observed by RCF’s coaching staff.
If my player doesn’t attend the current session, will he/she still be eligible for VIP registration next session?
No, if your player does not participate in the current session, he/she will not be eligible for VIP registration next session.
My player was injured during the current Youth Academy session, can I be refunded for the cost of the class?
Yes, with a doctor’s note, you are able to receive a full refund if the 7-week session has not started yet or a partial refund depending on how many classes of a session you have attended before injury.
I registered my player for a Youth Academy class but we have a scheduling conflict, can we get our money back?
Cancellation requires a 3-day written notice before the first day of its respective class. If done so, class tuition will be returned in full, except for a $25 Registration fee. If a player cancels within 3 days of a given class or if a class has already started, half of the remaining prorated class tuition will be returned (for example: if a player cancels after 2 classes, 50% of the cost of the remaining 5 classes will be refunded).
I registered my player for a Youth Academy Class but we have a conflict, can we move his/her registration to another day of the week?
If space allows, with a written request and approval by the Director of Coaching or Youth Academy Coordinator.
I attempted to register but all the classes are full, what do I do?
Please register your player to the wait-list.
My player is too old to participate in the Youth Academy Program, what other activities do you have?
We offer adult academy classes and open play for older players. Please see our website for further information.
Can I register for a Youth Academy session now and pay later?
Payment is required at the time of registration for any and all youth programming. In extreme cases, if you need to do a payment plan or need financial assistance please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
