How does registration work for Academy classes?

Our program calendar year is Fall > Spring II. For our calendar year, each session will include the exact same classes, (by age, level, day and time). Registration emails are sent via Rose City Futsal to email addresses on player’s profiles. If you unsubscribe from our emails or input an incorrect email address, you will miss Academy registration emails.

Fall Session registration traditionally opens to the public mid July.

Priority for registration in upcoming sessions is given to players participating in the current session. The registration process first opens to current players (“VIP”), then to players on the current session’s waitlist, and then the public.

VIP Registration:

  • Registration period that allows players in current classes to re-enroll in the exact same class, at the exact same time, for the next session. Players may only register to their current class and time during VIP and are provided a direct link to register for the next session at the start of the VIP registration process.
  • For example, a player is in the Fall Session: Monday 4pm-5pm YA All Levels Ages 6-8 at RCF West. They may only register to Monday 4pm-5pm YA All Levels Ages 6-8 at RCF West for the Winter I Session during this period
  • Improper registrations will be reversed. Do not share the link with anyone
  • Players who wish to switch and/or add classes for the next session may only do so during the waitlist registration period. This ensures all current players have a chance to re-enroll in their class for the next session

Waitlist Registration:

  • After VIP registration, but before registration opens to the Public, all players on the current session waitlist receive an early registration email at the same time
  • Also, during this time, a player in the current session can either switch or add a class. This may happen if the player has aged out of their current class (Ages 6-8; turned 9 in the session, needs to register to Ages 9-12 class) and/or if they want to add a class (participate in both Wednesday and Thursday Jr Academy classes)
  • Registration is not guaranteed during the waitlist registration period. A class may potentially fill during VIP registration if all players re-enroll. If your desired class is full, you may register to the waitlist for the upcoming session

Public Registration:

  • RCF sends out a public email blast with registration links for the upcoming session and posts links on our registration page
  • Advanced class registration links are emailed directly to all approved advanced players. Advanced classes in the public email blast are linked to the advanced player application
  • If your desired class is full, you may register to the waitlist

Example:

Winter 2 Session: January 6th – February 23rd Email Campaign Dates:

  • VIP Registration Email sent to current Winter 1 Participants: Monday, November 4th
  • VIP Reminder Email sent: Friday, November 8th
  • Waitlist Registration Email sent: Monday, November 11th
  • Public Registration Access on RCF website: Wednesday, November 13th
  • Public Email Reminder: Wednesday, December 4th
  • Public Email Reminder: Wednesday, December 11th

Summer and Fall Session Exceptions:

  • RCF reduces the number of classes it offers in the summer – this gives our dedicated coaches a little break and also takes into the consideration that many of you travel or have other activities that take priority in the summer. Given that, our VIP registration process works a little differently as we transition from Spring 2 into the Summer session, as well as from the Summer session into the Fall session.
  • Due to the reduced number of classes in the summer and classes being offered on different days/times, we typically send all Summer Academy class links to all players currently in Spring 2 classes. These are available on a first-come-first-serve basis and will be open to the public the week after VIP registration opens. The same process applies for Summer to Fall VIP registration.
  • Advanced classes continue to be invitation only and require Technical Director approval to participate. If your player is an approved player, complete the advanced player request form for a registration link.
