Our Youth Futsal and Soccer Academy in Portland is the perfect place for young players of all ages and skill levels to play, learn, and shine. Each academy session is designed to help players develop their technique and speed of play. We keep our coach-to-player ratio low, allowing for optimal support in a fun environment aimed at helping kids grow as players and as people.
Our Youth Futsal Academy offers year-round futsal classes for new and experienced players. Each 7-week session helps players develop their technique, speed of play, and decision-making ability. With increased ball touches on our fast-paced courts, futsal is an excellent alternative to a traditional soccer academy in Portland.

Cancellation requires a 3-day written notice before the first day of the respective class at our futsal and soccer academy in Portland. If canceled far enough in advance, class tuition will be returned in full, except for a $25 Registration fee.
If a player cancels within three days of a given class or if a class has already started, half of the remaining prorated class tuition will be returned (for example: if a player cancels after two classes, 50% of the cost of the remaining five classes will be refunded). If a player is injured and provides a doctor’s note, RCF will refund the remaining class’s prorated amount from the time notice is received.
*Rose City Futsal does not provide refunds or guarantee makeup classes for voluntarily missed classes or give credit towards future classes/sessions/events*
Futsal is played on a flat, hard surface—most similar to a basketball court. The court is sized for 5v5 play and uses a smaller and heavier ball than a soccer ball which stays on the ground more.
The game is much faster with the flat surface and tight spaces. Certain ball-skill techniques are used in futsal like receiving with the sole of the foot, toe poke (a shooting technique), etc. Skills developed through futsal complement skills developed in soccer, and vice-versa.
With these differences, even an experienced soccer player should begin in our All Levels classes for a session or two to gain the futsal-specific fundamentals.
The most common path to participating in our advanced classes is to participate in an All Levels class for at least a couple of sessions. The coaches will communicate to the player and family when they are ready to move up to our more advanced classes which focus on technique as well as tactics.
Our academy is a great place for players of any age and skill level who want to improve their soccer skills in a fun, safe, supportive environment. We welcome first-time players and international competitors. There’s a place for every young player at Rose City Futsal.
Step 1
The first step is getting your child registered for their first class at RCF. We recommend every player start in the All Levels class and then our coaches can recommend them to more advanced classes.
Step 2
Every player at RCF needs a player card to access our facilities and register for leagues. You'll sign your child up for an annual membership during the registration process!
Step 3
See the game schedule to know when your kid is playing. While your kid is having a blast, you can kick back in Clive's Pub and watch from your perch on the Mezzanine level. Or feel free to cheer them on from the main floor!
