Youth Soccer Leagues in Portland

• Two blackout dates – Teams will not be scheduled to play on their requested blackout dates
• Home location – Teams can choose a home location where they will play at least half (4+ out of 8) of their games
• Once the preliminary schedule is released (about 10 days prior to the start of the season), each team is allowed to request a reschedule for one of their games. Please make sure to include some guidance on when your team is available to play the rescheduled game.
• Once the final schedule has been released, all reschedule requests will incur a $150 reschedule fee

For our 5v5 Youth Leagues, we recommend having 7 to 8 players per game. For 3v3 games, we recommend 5 to 6 players. You can have a maximum of 10 players and 2 coaches on the bench.

The rosters aren’t fixed, so you can add players throughout the season. Players can also play in multiple age groups and teams.

Having trouble filling out your roster? Here are some tips!

• Reach out to team members from the last few seasons. Players who have left the team may be looking for opportunities to play with old teammates.
• See if other teams in your area are fielding a team and, if they aren’t, contact the coach to ask if it’s OK to contact their players.
• Check with your confirmed players if they have friends who want to play.
• Post on Nextdoor in your neighborhood.
• Use the Youth Find A Team/Find A Player Facebook group to find players.
• Check with your neighbors and neighborhood kids.
• Use TeamSnap to organize your team.

Teams will have 10 to 12 minutes of warm-up time on their court. Games are played hourly on each court. We stagger the start times at each facility to alleviate traffic and make check-in run as smoothly as possible.

Players must wear a jersey or shirt that distinguishes them from the opposing team. Goalkeepers must wear colors that distinguish them from the other players and the referees. Players in the Youth Leagues must wear shin guards that are entirely covered by socks.

Cleats are not allowed. Any jewelry or accessories that might present a danger to the player wearing it or other players on the pitch is not allowed. We also prohibit any clothing or gear that might give a player or team an unfair advantage.
